Go to Temora on an air show weekend. There are many camping options and they are cheap. There is a sort of farm stay about 30k out of town. Look at the Temora web site.

Cant help you with any farms in the area, coz dont know the area,
When we go to the Flinders ranges we often stay at different homesteads.
Maybe google homesteads in the area and give em a bell

You could always go here if you really want adventure (maybe get chewed on by a lion - and it is close to where you live).

thanks guys, ill keep looking. great idea about the homestead Wild. ive gotta find somewhere about halfway between Deni and Sydney as my missus will be coming down to meet me. I would prefer closer to Sydney tho as the missus isnt as good at long distance drives as me. im probably gonna end up staying somewhere near Goulburn or Kangaroo Valley
