I'm replacing the rear loop on the back of my GU. Had a quick look and couldn't see the bolts behind the bumper so assumed they're fixed. Undid one nut, and it stopped at the end of the thread and the whole bolt started turning.

So, do I need to get access to the bolts, and if so how, is something amiss or am I just doing something wrong?

Cheers
Lon

Hi Lonicus those 4 nuts should be captive, as in welded there. try giving them a decent "TAP" with a hammer to shock them and a good spray, sorry but I can't lie under my 4x4 at the moment. From memory you should be able to get access to those nuts. I'll be here for a while

Thanks mate. All good, I'm just a bit dim it seems at the moment. I've spent the last month renovating a granny flat and I think the paint and cleaning fumes have gotten to me :) The bolts come out

All you need to do is remove 4 bolts that are holding your loop thingy on. The nuts should stay there
