Took my shorty for an unexpected swim last weekend. It was four feet deep I found out half way through! Excuse the language!

X2 with threedogs, looked like the water was trapped between the stone fence. Does that happen often? Those stone fences dont look that water tight, or is it simply the amount of water trying to pass through at one time?

Thanks for the vid:)

Thanks guys.

It's a road/byway that is in a dip. There is a pond to one side that seems to be in constant flood.

The dry stone walls aren't sealed, so the water level across the road is whatever level the surrounding water is. The water will go through the wall, but not quick enough when you're driving it, hence it gets deeper as you push the water forward.

Ironically it's called 'Dry Lane'!

Here's another vid of a mate going through in his petrol Pajero:

Unfortunately we didn't all make it.... Another mate with a Land Rover Discovery died half way through. We still don't know why (apart from it being a Land Rover :-))' but after he was pulled out he had water in the fuel and water came in up to the top of the seats and unfortunately the gearbox ecu is under the passenger seat! It was sorted by the local Land Rover dealer in a couple of days for around $800! Here's the moment his wallet died...

Hey Nick,

I bet his missus/girl friend was really pleased with that effort, I bet she rides in the Patrol next time.
