Hi guys,

Just brought a full length ARB roof rack, but it had no mount so I have ended up with mounts of a troopy, the only issue is they sit a lot taller, I was just wondering how high u guys run your roof rack before I start cutting n modifying the mounts!

Cheers

Give it a good 2"/50 clearance from top of the roof, should be heaps, maybe up to 60mm
you'll see what looks right. not too high or low so it'll flex. IMO

Just had a measure from the roof to the bottom of the rack. Mine sits 80 mm - 90 mm off the roof and little higher at the front due to the slope of the roof. I assume my mounts are genuine ARB as the GU came with the rack fitted. Cheers.

I got about 60/65mm from the bottom of the rack to top of roof.
From the gutter to the bottom of rack about 115mm

Hi guys,
Tried to post pic, but not working, I have cut all mounts to size but they are all leaning downwards when mounted. Or if I mount brackets to to rack first then fit applying pressure out wards it may work!! anymore tips would be appreciated!!
Cheers!
