Hi there, i've had a thought, i have seen a few people asking and talking about their fuel consumption. So if i was possible could we get a few threads made sticky for each engine type like tb45, tb48, zd30t, td42 & td42t. And have at the start of each thread the equation for the consumptio ie litres / km = km/L (105.51/718.4 = 6.8km/L) and 100/km/L = litres/100 (100/ 6.8= 14.7L/100km) and people can list their fuel type like lpg petrol and modifications to show the variables. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask but the moderaters can fix that yeah?? What do you guys think? Cheers.

Edit: and one for modified motors or engine swapped patrols.

There is a general one non model specific http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...economy-reportv

Oki cool i just thought it might be better to be specific. Its just you see the same questions asked in defferent ways, and i thought it would be easyer that way.

Good idea. I think once AB returns home he will set something up if he agrees which he is generally pretty good about this sort of stuff.

This site (http://motormouth.com.au/myvehicle/consumptioncalculator.aspx) has a good convertor for k/l, mpg and l/100k, just type in the figure you have in the appropriate box and it will convert to other measures for you.

Its easy to do with a calculator, most phone have them and its a bit faster aswell plus i like to do my calcs at the pump and keep a record on my phone. And maybe have the link on there aswell.

Andy is the only one that can set sections and subsection, moderators can't.

I think it would be great 2 have a Section called "Fuel Consumption" then have the threads for each engine type under that :)

Thats bigger then what i was thinking lol but yeah why not it would save people heaps of time just to go straight there and the other people wont have to keep repeating themselfs

I think its a great idea, there are stacks of great threads on here but its frustrating working ur way through them to find the posts that are relievent to your engine type.

If you use the search function, you will find threads easier that is relivant 2 a particular engine type

Cheers

I more mean that some of the threads may say start with some one asking the question about say a crd and then people with a di will pop on and add there bit, which is fine however it gets a bit confusing when the thread gos back and forth so having them on specific models will simplify this. Ive noticed the same thing when you get on the issue of egr blocking as the way to do it is diff and you have to work out what post are about what engine.

I hope that makes sense!?
