Hi all

I have a 2007 ZD30 common rail and im having problems working out what size exhaust to fit. Have been told to fit a 2 3/4 inch as a 3 inch is to big and it will take power away. On the other hand ive been told the opposite, a bigger exhaust will make it get rid of the gasses quicker and the turbo spool up quicker. I value everyones opinions and thoughts on this if you can help me..

cheers
Chris

2n3/4 is more then ample for the job on a 3ltr mate.

If you go a 3" and dont pay the extra to get it mandrel bent then it will end up as a 2.75 anyway and will probably work out cheaper than a mandrel bent in either a 2.75 or a 3. Get a couple of quotes mate.

Hey Chris, it is always a good idea to post up an introduction before asking for assistance, just something that we ask everyone to do.............just gets everyone on side from the start mate.

I went with a beaudesert 2.75" on my GU8 and am very happy with the result especially the torque down low.
There have been reports of over boosting with 3" but then again lots here have them and have no problems
