Hey all....

Just wanted some advice....

Just did a quick 2 day trip to Melbourne to collect our new camper trailer. The trip from home (Menai - NSW) to Spingvale VIC, I used 95 litres of diesel for approx 790 km. around 12.05 litres per 100km.... On the way back I used 115 litres to cover 830 km... Towing the camper back to Sydney. This worked out to be around 13.1 litres per 100 km... Question... Is that normal....

They are good figures mate, nothing to complain about. Economy will depend so accessories fitted, tyre sizes, etc

........... On the move

They are fantastic figures, don't expect to get any better towing the camper, as when you are all loaded up to go away, it will be more.

I don't tow anything, my figures are around 11.3 L as best to 13.5 L as worst. (05 GU IV 3.0) I'm trying to to get to ~ 10 l but not sure what else I need to do.
Cheers

Once you load the trailer and the back of your truck the consumption will
probably jump to 14 or 15l per 100 wich i still think is reasonable

X 2 with Roofy, fully loaded towing 15/100 is the norm. I suspect every one getting 10-11/100 are running 265 tyres.????

Did a camping trip From Sutherland to Bonny Hills in NSW. Towed the Mars camper fully loaded with camping gear and push bikes and 2 adults and 3 kids in the patrol..... did 905km on 115ltrs diesel....

I have a 2005 3.0ltr Diesel Auto Patrol... with Bullbar and 2 inch lift.... Works out at 12.7Ltrs per 100km.... Very happy about that.... I also didnt flogg the arse out of the patrol.... stayed between 90 and 100 km/h on the open road....
