Thought I'd ask if any forum members sell these in the Brisbane/Sunshine Coast area.

Best price I've seen is $175.. and that makes me hesitate.. :-)

Thanks!

My mistake, I juat had another look and the $80 one was to fit a GU TD42. Sorry. There is a unifilter to do the TB45 for $95. In the 4WD Action test about 12 months back they were about the same flow as K&N and has less dust particals pass through them.

In the same boat for 1 for the 4.8L - not wanting to pay $200 at this stage

just checked the link though, the unifilter price looks more up my alley

I wouldn't bother with the one for the 4.8 - I had one fitted for a while.

This one in fact http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=E-9266

I found that the car tended to run rich and there was a slight reduction in torque. Whatever increase in power I got was hardly noticeable. It certainly didn't compensate for the dust that I found on the MAF side of the filter. I have reverted to the stock Nissan paper filter and bang it out after every trip off road. Much better all round.

I contacted Western Filters, the Ebay seller, and they replied that the K&N for the 4500 wasn't worth the price.. so I ordered the $95 (+$14 postage) Unifilter.

I wanted a better flowing filter to go with the Pacemakers & 2.5" exhaust I've just fitted.

I'm not concerned with it running rich (which, I expect, is due to the increased air flow slightly raising the MAF voltages) because I have a Jaycar digital fuel adjuster fitted which will allow me to modify the MAF voltages.
