Yes, I have a bit of rust where the spotwelds are, but it's a 98GU.
Seeing as yours has been bogged in very salty mud, I would be having a good look under, maybe that's ya gearbox problem, better get that chassis hosed out asap
Cheers, the ferret.

Yep found some 5 cent piece size spots in my gutters. Very good spot for it.

Check the rear slide side windows on the bottom as well.

Get some rust converter on it quick smart and coat it with " LANOTEC" get product.
Hope all your looms are ok if the 4x4 came from a salty enviroment?
GQ were famous for rusty rear window surrounds , sliding mainly I think
AB did yours used to have a pack rack on top???

No nothing on top. The water just sits in the gutter and the previous owner didnt use it much so stagnant car with water in gutters are asking for rust.

Mine has no rust in the gutters luckily. Also very minimal rust in the rear windows too but I want to replace those with solid units anyway, so would get rid of that rust at that stage.

Open the barn doors and gently pull off the rubber seal sitting against the body (at roof height)

Rust?
