Just got back home from a trip through central NSW and Qld towing the Kimberley Kamper.

Thought these figures might be of interest to some, I have converted to mpg because I am old and l/100 ks means nothing to me!

The Patrol is a GU IV 4.2tdi with 285X75X16 tyres

Canberra to Cobar 16.9 mpg - 16.7 l/100k
Cobar to Quilpie 18.07 mpg - 15.63 l/100k
Quilpie to Longreach 18.3 mpg - 15.44 l/100k
Longreach to Lark Quarry to Longreach 14.95 mpg - 18.90 l/100k (big head wind from Winton to Longreach)
Longreach to Mitchell 16.85 mpg - 16.76 l/100k
Mitchell to Nambour 18.1 mpg - 15.61 l/100k
Nambour to Coonabarabran 16.33 mpg - 17.30 l/100k
Coonabarabran to Canberra 16.8 mpg - 16.81 l/100k

Without the camper attached, but roof rack on, I can expect around 19-20 mpg. The 18+mpg figures where achieved travelling at around 95 kph. the 16+ mpg where at around 100-110 kph.

Good figures.

For those who wish to convert to Litres per Hundred

http://www.fadainc.com/mpg_100l.html

Divide 282.4809363 by the Mpg will give you the Litres per 100K's

282.4809363/20(MPG) = 14.12404581 Litres per 100K's

This (http://motormouth.com.au/myvehicle/consumptioncalculator.aspx)is a good convertor that uses Aus gals, not septic gals.
