Hey guys,

replacing the stock running suspension with a nice 2" lift kit, so i pulled up the car, got the wheel off and went to undo the nuts on the bottom and top of my friont right shock, and lo and behold, theyre absolutely stuck!

so far I've tried:
soaking the nut in wd-40
soaking the nut in diesel
gripping a vice grip around the shock cylinder
using a breaker bar around my spanner
using a small soldering blowtorch to heat the nut up.

so as i see it, its well and truly stuck. The options i was thinking to solve the problem:

use the angle grinder and cut just above the mount and below the cartridge chamber
or
drill a hole through the middle of the cartridge and shove a bar through the whole thing (really really dont wanna do this)
or
get a big eff off monkey wrench and see if thatll grip while i use the biggest baddest breaker bar i can get

has anyone got anything better than that? i swear theres an easier option that ive accidently missed....

over n out
