Everyone should do a recovery or driver awareness course, rid yourself of any bad habits, Think about the recovery.
As the link states once you stop thinking it will KILL or cause SERIOUS injury,
NOBODY KNOWS IT ALL
Good read

Steve.

This is a very worthwhile article to read.

If you have DoPDF, i would suggest doing a pdf copy for ones-self.

Cheers

Good article, first time I have so many comparison to rigging loads for cranes ( being a crane operator and rigger, this is what I do all day everyday) and it is great to see a mention of angle factors and reeving in relation to recovery, it is so so so important and the difference between gear failing and not failing.

Just a note:
The following thread has the "Recovery Bible" in PDF format for downloading as wells a few other possibly useful reference bits.

Recovery Bible in PDF and some other PDF references (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?20165-Recovery-Bible-in-PDF-and-some-other-PDF-references)

Should have put it here in the first place.

A good resource with lots of great reminders to keep in mind. Too many recovery operations that people rush into without thinking.

This should not have happened. A Daughter A Sister, A Friend. A Young life Lost.

Think about what you are doing. Always consider the worst case scenario and clear the safety zone.
