I have a 2005 Diesel Manual Patrol. I was told yesterday by an RAC mechanic that I have blown a piston,
which is not uncommon for this vintage Patrol and the problem is known to Nissan. My vehicle has only
168,000km on the clock, has been regularly serviced and has not done any hard work.

Does anyone know of this problem??

Laurie

That sounds like a ZD30 that has grenaded. Good chance it's no. 4 piston that has the hole in it!! Refer to the reference document found elsewhere on this forum for more information on this problem.
Also check this thread more more info.
