Hi guys,
I've been told the best operating efficiency of a diesel is achieved at the rev range where the maximum torque is produced?
Yes this correct - if so can you advise at what rev range the 3.0ltre (CRD '07) achieves it's maximum torque?

Other than driving techinique - if you had the choice of making 1 change to the vehicle, which would provide the most benefit in regards to fuel efficiency / power - a modified exhaust / dump pipe or 'chip' (Not not focused on hard core 4x4 driving)

Many thanks

On my 2008 auto the sweet spot seems to be around the 2500RPM mark. Not sure where it produces the max torque
