G'day crikey

Welcome to the forum. Lots of Qld'ers on here. Somebody should be able to help.

Congrats on your new purchase. You'll have lotsa fun. Plenty of people to help DIY if you're into
that sort of stuff.

Few mechanics on here too.

Take care out there.

Where are you based mate - north, south, east, west?? There is two I can recommend thoroughly - one in Moorooka, one in Capalaba, but don't know if either of those areas is good for you (I'm not affiliated with either of them by the way - i.e. they aren't friends, fmaily members etc - I have used both for my own vehicles after trying an array of others, and these two were a cut above the rest).

Too easy - give Ramsay's a call in Michlin Street ... talk to Jodie (a bloke) or Richard. Give it to them for a full 'once over' and they will list absolutely everything on the vehicle that needs to be looked at as well as give it a 'general' fix up (i.e. check oil seals, throw some grease into the nipples if and where required, pack the wheel bearings while they're apart, test oil pressure, etc, etc) - I have found what they tell you to be spot on, and the work they do is both very good, and reasonably priced.

Give Moorooka Mechanical a go. Located in Baldock Street. Mario the owner is a 4wd specialist and owns a Patrol himself. Workshop is alway full of 4x4's.

Can you please give me the name of the mechanic in Capalaba. I have just bought a 1999 GU 4500 ST auto and I am wanting a tune up and full service for a peace of mind before I go offroad.
