What’s not to love about the Corvette LS3 V8 engine? With over 430 hp and 424 lb-ft of torque, this is definitely a supercar engine capable of propelling the Corvette from 0-100 kph in 4.3 seconds, and into a top speed of 305 kph!

Now stuff that engine into a lightweight, superb-handling E46 BMW 3-Series chassis and you’ve got yourself asport sedan that would put a lot of supercars to shame.
Imagine yourself thundering down SCTEX in an 8-digit-price-tagged supercar leaving everyone else in your dust, only to be surprised that you’ve been overtaken by a mere BMW 3-Series sedan!

But this car was actually purpose-built by Ian to do the thing he loves doing the most – drifting. Showing his rear bumper to supercars while rolling down the highway is just an added bonus, because he’d much rather show you how he can take this car through the corners with opposite lock.

Read on to see the rest of the photos, the full specs, and videos showing the buildup of this ride, as well as some drifting action…

Up front, you’ll find a custom carbon fiber hood, and a modified A-Toy Body Kits M3 bumper.

Looking at it from the side view, you’ll see the modified A-Toy Body Kits GTR side skirts, custom widened fiberglass front fenders with M3 vents, and custom widened steel rear fenders.

You can see the widened fenders better from this angle. Suspension is courtesy of Bilstein coilovers.

At the back, you’ll find a modified A-Toy Body Kits M2 rear bumper and CSL carbon fiber trunk, LED tail lights, and the twin Varex variable exhausts.

Those are 18×9.5 Rota IKR’s wrapped in Nitto rubber. Behind it, you’ll see the Stoptech big brake kit.

Inside, you’ll see a plethora of VDO gauges – Fuel, Speedometer, Tachometer, Water Temperature, a Ksport Hydraulic Handbrake, Momo Drift wheel, Corvette 8 ball shifter, Front power windows, EVO VIII Recaro Seats, Simpsons 5pt Seat belt, VDO – extra gauges, oil temperature and pressure, Welded-in roll cage, Remote control for the VAREX exhaust, Custom Aluminum side panels with leather wraps and racing handles, Remote switch for Canton oil Accumulator, Power lock control, Power window control.

It’s okay… Go ahead and drool. Hahaha! The Ksport hudraulic handbrake controls the extra calipers at the back so Ian can easily let the rear loose. Like I said, this ride was purpose-built for drifting.

Under the hood a bunch of mods have been done to make the GM LS3 6.2L V8 work perfectly. There’s the T56-Transmission, E28 M5 rear differential, Custom Engine Supports, Dewitts three in one radiator – water, oil, power steering, Swirl pot, Aftermarket Fuel Pressure regulator, Corvette valve covers , Ex-Manila custom headers, Xpipe with heat wrap, K&N Airfilter, Custom Driveshaft, Custom Steering Shaft, Custom Oil Pan, Accusump 3qt Oil accumulator.
