I took the snorkel of my troll as there was a little rust. I have sanded back the rust and undercoated it. I have applied a fine first coat of spray paint but what sort of sandpaper should I use in between coats?
I have with me some of the black Bunnings waterproof paper in different grades. Could I use that?
where I have painted it can't really be seen, only a small section just under the snorkel will be...

Thanks.

800 grit wet usually on undercoat then when it comes to blending in i would use 1200 and sand the lot on to the already painted area around the job and blend it in.

So use the paper I have. But wet it yeah?

Yeah just run the hose slowly over it as your sanding.
Or use a bucket and sponge
I find the trigger nozzle on the hose on fine spray works better just wash it down every minute or so

I always find it better to soak the paper for an hour or so in cold water, then use a sponge and bucket. you dont want it to clog.

Use a spray bottle to wet the panel.
