hey guys thought id post up some pics of my first trip to powerlines today. was a great day out with the boys shame i was only patrol in the convoy all were oil burners(toyotas). the patrol made it through the day with only some minor problems. first of all i decided to climb something i really couldnt climb and got stuck. on the recovery process ( just a good push backwards) my exhaust caught the ground and i pretty much snapped the exhaust off and the rear. the only other minor problem i have seemed to have got is now after all the mudholes/ water holes my starter has finaly decided to carc it. here a few pics with more to come once obtain from a mates camera.

haha i was going to put out a invite however it was a bit of a work get together with all the workmates as it was my boss who organised it all

the only thing that let me down was ride height other than that she went everywhere the others went who all had lifts etc

That's the same hole that we had trouble with couple of weeks ago and the same thing happened to a Toyota, bent the exhaust up when he reversed, you really need a 3 lift to get thru there now, the only one who made it out of our lot was a gq with 4" lift

i went almost everywhere through there only place i had trouble was with this ditch. and no they have not started to bulldoze it but there were some dozers out there sitting there but they were next to a tarmac road if they doze it they are stupid it keeps kids off the street and illegal 4wding

When we were up there a few weeks ago, they had ploughed up all the bog holes at the end (the lakes end).......... Didn't think they'd be grading the whole thing

Taps a lot!!!!!!

well i hope they dont doze the whole thing or no one will go there it keeps people off the streets but i guess its stopping the national parks making money with permits

When we were there a couple of weeks back they had started from Mundaring end and looked like they were working their way through as they had their caravans set up about midway thru the track off in the bush!

Dad is with the ses up that way and mentioned part of the reason was because of the wstern power debarcle so they can fix lines etc and also any fesa vehicles if needed in the area, kalamunda shire has been throwing gates up all over the place as well and digging big holes just past them around ashendon road / bartons mill areas as well up in pickering brook which has caused massive danger issues for locals and fesa as there are no longer alternative escape routes im case of fires.
Bit of food for thought for anyone up that way
