Welcome to the forum mate.

How many kms has it done?

How long ago did it have a service?

Were the injectors done?

Welcome, it is always better to post a introduction on forums before asking questions, as it gets everyone on your side.
There is always someone who can't help but comment on this:smiley_thumbs_up:

Would have sworn it was dodgy glow plugs.
Good luck finding the issue Pete.

Is it "White" or "Black" smoke. If its "White" smoke, its most likely a glow plug issue, even though you have stated they were tested. Try glow the plugs until the light goes out, then immediately glow them again and see if there is a difference.

Smoke is white.
Tried that many times. 8 out of 10 times no different.
Might look at some new glow plugs.
cheers

For the cost of new Glow Plugs, its not a bad idea to replace them, the SuperCheap Parts Guide will give you an idea how much to expect.

I had mine replaced recently with Bosch plugs and they were $50 a plug

Before buying new plugs, do you have a good battery system. A lot of time if power is down they won't heat properly. I also doubted as you are doubting me now. I was having exact same trouble. New battery, no problem since. And Pete welcome.
