GQ rear wiper

Hi all
just bought this car so learning what bugs it has, its a 1995 GQ patrol, when you turn the rear wiper on it keeps running no matter where you put the toggle switch, only way i can stop the wiper is to use the key, im guessing must have a intermittent wiper relay somewhere thats faulty? any other ideas?

oh and appears the Tacho seems to have stage fright when its cold lol

Welcome to the forum. When you get a chance pop over to the introduction section and let us know a bit about yourself and truck.

Yes your problem could be with the rear wiper relay, it mounted under the bonnet on the right hand side inner guard near the firewall.

It is a square box and has 6 wires going to it. Nissan call it a wiper amplifier.

Hey Gazza got the same prob.Will only stop when the ignition is turned off.I was going to replace the switch,but will try the relay instead.

Let us know if it sorts out your problem.

replace the relay usually does the trick
