How much are the genuine ones? Ryco ones not upto it? What do you think about the unifilter foam ones?

I think I usually pay 40 bucks but I buy 5 at a time. Pretty happy with that price and keeps MR Nissan warranty happy

depending on your patrol they say dont use unifilters on crd patrols as the oil in th e filter gets onto the maf sensor and creates problems

I would swear by oiled foam filters in motorbikes but have no experience in 4x4s. Surely if looked after and regularly cleaned and oiled they would outperform the paper ones???? I know that on dirt bikes they are brilliant and they have intakes down real low!

I thought this was pretty interesting to read. I'm not a fan of foam & or oiled filters.

Fair enough, to be fair I would clean the foam filter on the bike after every outing and because you dont use it all the time it was not such a chore but after reading that post I agree a foam filter would be a pain in the a***
Thanks for the link blowngq
