It would mean rather than the car icons for each placemark there would be your avatar on there instead.

An Avatar is that little pic next to your profile.

Youve got the muppet avatar.

Personally I'm not fussed either way.

Just thinking with the avatars it might crowd the map too much, especially down the track with a lot more members. Even just a dot to show the concentration of members in different areas.

Funny thing is i can do Avartars that are on your server:http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/avatars/Computer-Stress.gif, but cant for the life of me get user added avatars..... do u know where they get saved to Andy, surely its not a random location???

Dunno mate, maybe they must get saved on the forum but maybe not in a spot accessible by users.

You could always just right click on each members picture and "copy" or "save as" etc...

I wouldnt stress too much mate, that would be a very labour intensive job!!!

Hi Mate, you click on "settings" at the top right of screen, then click on "edit avatar" on the middle left hand side.

From there you can use the ones on the forum or upload a pic from your computer.

Let us know if you get stuck.

Just checked now and no reply. Also waiting on replies for Tim's wave good bye addon and the original members map thing..lol

Its the official Vbulletin forum help too...Maybe my questions are in the too hard basket.

Actually got a reply back re the wave good bye thing...The owners said thats a great idea, never heard of that and don't think it exists.

We might be one of those too difficult customers with difficult, unrealistic questions.

This forum uses the latest software for 2010 which is great and they have fixed a lot of problems that other forums have and also have good extra features but new addons to this are fairly rare though.

Have had the s**** the last couple of days, but that's not doing the map, have had drama's with my wireless router dropping out then just not working at all, spent a few hrs offline last night to get it back up and running ( the bourbon and beers helped ), its only been the last few months that i have had a laptop and the freedom to surf the net not chained to the computer desk, and plugging it straight to the Ethernet port and been chained to the desk again was frustrating.

And my display driver keeps crashing!!!!!!! got to love Win7 and Toshiba for not having a driver to support the graphics card.

Started working on something else for the forum last night, not sure how its going to turn out just yet, fingers crossed, beer and bourbon in hands, I hope that it works :)

Thanks Kris, I'm not a mechanically minded, so don't really contribute to the forum in that respect. When the map idea came about, I knew it should be something i could do so jumped at it, It's my small way of contributing. It's good to see new members wanting to be added and its good to see old members having a look at an old thread :)
