uncorking td42 non turbo

hey guys i picked up a GQ patrol cheap from my partners work. it has a td4.2 non turbo. i cant afford a turbo kit on it just yet however would like to try and uncork it a bit if you know what i mean. i know a exhaust is a great place to start. but im unsire what size exhaust. and what else is there i can do to uncork it

The best thing for an N/A td42 is a snorkle and high quality air filter, wind up the fuel a bit, extractors and a 2.5 inch exhaust, get a professional to tune it. before I turboed mine I had that setup ind it was good for and extra 12-15hp, dosnt sound like much but is about an 15-18% increase in power, (with mine anyway) and I was getting 12L/100 @ 2.6 tonne full of fuel with me in it

Mate If your still thinking turbo later on.
check exhaust size as it may be different for turbo.
and has different engine pipe set up also.
could save a bit of money in the long run.
